Peace of Mind

There is no doubt that we live in an age that crime finds its way into even the best of neighborhoods. Having a home security system is essential to keep you and your family safe from the crime that can be right outside your window.

I wouldn’t live in any home that isn’t protected by a Honeywell security system. I found out how very important this protection is a few years ago when my kids and I were home alone while my husband was away on business. I was waken at 2am by the alarm going off. I ran to collect the kids together and locked the bedroom door behind us. The security people called to assure me that the police were on the way and that we should stay in the room.

When the police got to my house they found the back sliding door had been forced open but didn’t find the intruder anywhere. He must have run as soon as he heard the security systems alarm going off. It took less than seven minutes from the time the alarm went off until the police showed up. It seemed like much longer and my kids and I were terrified but I felt so much better knowing that as soon as the alarm went off I had somebody taking care of me.

It is a very comforting feeling knowing my family has 24 hour protection from caring people who tend to the alarm system monitoring facility. As soon as an alarm is tripped at our home a signal is immediately sounded at the headquarters and police are alerted. Within 30 seconds of the alarm somebody is calling our home and police are dispatched. You can’t get much better than that unless you have an armed guard stationed at your doorway. I sleep much better knowing my home is protected and we are being watched over.

Safe and Sound

My husband and I moved from a very rural area in Alabama to a very urban area of Houston, Texas. Neither of us had ever lived in such a large city before and when we bought our home we decided we should install a home security system. It was more so for the peace of mind than anything else. We were out of our comfort zone and didn’t know what to expect.

The Houston home security company we picked to install the system had over 30 years experience in protecting people’s homes and we felt very secure knowing that when we went to bed every night we had professionals watching over us as we slept. It was quite a change moving from the country, where our only security alarm was our two big dogs out in the yard. It seemed strange to have to be so careful when all our lives we never feared any type of crime such as burglary.

The Honeywell security system we had installed covered all the bases. If we had a fire the alarm would go off and the fire department and police were contacted. If we had a break in, the police we contacted immediately and the company would call our home phone. The alarm that goes off is incredibly loud and would alarm every neighbor on our block. It’s safe to say if it ever does happen a robber doesn’t have a chance of getting away.

My husband has to travel periodically for his work and the first time he left me alone in our new house I was a little nervous but I certainly felt much safer knowing we had such a reputable home security and a large professional team watching over our house. I sleep very well knowing we are protected and should something ever happen, I know we will get a very quick response from the police. That kind of piece of mind makes all the difference when you are in a new place. I'm thankful for the home security we have for our home.
